Our Story
It started with a sewing machine in a closet
In 2020, during lockdown, Elisabeth found one of her father's sewing machines tucked away in a cupboard. That moment changed everything. For the first time, she had found the thing she could do for hours without ever watching the clock — creating something from nothing, knowing it would one day make someone feel beautiful.
But the love for making things didn't start there. Elisabeth grew up in a deeply creative home. Her father used to sew dresses and outfits for her and her sister — and without knowing it, he planted something in her that was just waiting to bloom.
From passion to craft
After that first lockdown discovery, Elisabeth decided to take it seriously. She studied fashion — and it opened her eyes to everything that hides behind a single garment. The sketch, the pattern development, the prototype, the fitting, the construction. So many steps, so much thought, so much time. A world that most people never see.
That invisible work is exactly what Born to Bless is built on. Because behind every piece is a process that deserves to be respected.
Made in Belgium, on purpose
Born to Bless is proudly Belgian — and that means something. The brand sources its fabrics from the deadstock of major fashion houses, keeping waste low and making every piece inherently limited. No two drops are exactly alike. When a fabric is gone, it's gone.
Born to Bless also chooses to support Belgian businesses wherever it can. Local, intentional, grounded.
Clothing is an art form
Confection — the true art of making garments — is one of the most overlooked crafts of our time. A piece of clothing takes time to come to life. It deserves to be made with attention, with precision, with intention. Not to be worn once and forgotten, but to last.
That is the standard Born to Bless holds itself to with every single piece. The brand doesn't just make clothes. It makes things worth keeping.
